Raquel Mazer, DMD

Raquel Mazer, DMD, MS, MPH, is Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Operative Dentistry in the Department of General Dental Sciences. Dr. Mazer is a two-time UAB graduate and holds masters degrees in Clinical Dentistry from UAB SOD, and in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She joined the UAB Faculty full time in 1996. As a General Dentist she takes special interest in the patient’s overall health with emphasis in oral health. Over the years of practice, teaching and research, she has developed special clinical interest in adhesive or bonded techniques and restoratives (tooth colored fillings), adolescent dentistry and whitening.

She enjoys music, dancing, traveling and the company of friends.
